Now that Fall is officially here and October beckons in the cool temps, it’s time to get into the fall festive mood! From pumpkin patches to fall festivals and spooky Halloween experiences, there are tons of activities to partake in during Savannah’s fall season for families with kids of all ages. Pumpkin Patches Near Savannah:

Poppell Farms

  • Where: 1765 Hyma Poppell Loop, Odum, GA 31555
  • When: Friday- Sunday until October 29
  • Admission: $8-16.95
  • Offers a 10-acre corn maze, a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin chunkin’, catch-n-release fishing, pony rides, Farmer Brown’s Playground for the littles, and more. They also have after dark haunted activities.

Ottawa Farms

  • Where: 702 Bloomingdale Rd., Bloomingdale, GA 31302
  • When: Every weekend in October
  • Admission: $10
  • Offers pumpkin patch, food, picnic areas, petting zoo, playground and other attractions.

Madrac Farms is known for its giant corn pit, which kids love. The pit was expanded for the 2023 fall season!

Madrac Farms

  • Where: 580 Ralph Rahn Rd, Rincon, GA 31326
  • When: Every Sat & Sun in October
  • Offers a pumpkin patch, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, farm animals, a big pumpkin display, and a rotten tomato slingshot.

Holiday Farms

  • Where: 10884 Grays Hwy, Ridgeland, SC 29936
  • When: Every day in October
  • Admission: $15
  • Offers a great pumpkin patch including pumpkin picking, Duck Races, Haytona Speedway, Corn Grinding, Steer Roping, cow milking, concession stands, a General Store, a petting barn, wagon rides, and more.

Tricks & Treats for All Ages:

Savannah Scare on The Square

  • Where: Emmet Park-  4089 E Bay St., Savannah, GA 31401
  • When: October 27-29
  • Admission: FREE
  • A three-day party for all ages, including vendors, entertainment, food trucks and other special events.

City of Savannah Annual Trunk or Treat

Each year the City of Savannah hosts a giant Trunk or Treat for Savannah locals.
  • Where: Daffin Park – 1301 E. Victory Dr. Savannah, GA 31404
  • When: October 27th, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Admission: FREE
  • Each year the City of Savannah hosts a massive trunk or treating event. In addition to cars overflowing with candy, the evening includes bouncy houses, food trucks, games, and costume contests. After the event ends, stick around for Daffin Parks. “Sundown Cinema” event featuring a moving on the lawn.

Trunk or Treat 2023 at Lake Mayer

  • Where: Lake Mayer – 1850 East Montgomery Cross Rd, Savannah, GA 31406
  • When: October 27th, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Admission: FREE

Harley Davidson’s Halloween Trick or Treat Party

  • Where: Harley Davidson- 1 Fort Argyle Rd, Savannah, GA 31419
  • When: October 28 from 11 AM- 3 PM
  • Vroom, vroom! Join Savannah Harley-Davidson, local businesses, nonprofits, and motorcycle groups for a morning/afternoon of Halloween trick-or-treating. Kids are encouraged to dress up and trick or treat at each vendor set up as well as each department in the dealership!

Alee Shriners Terror Plantation

  • Where: Alee Temple – 100 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA 31406
  • When: Every Fri & Sat in October
  • Admission: $15 – $25
  • Explore the blood-curling, Alee Shriners Terror Plantation, which features new thrills every single year. This one is for the older kids…the Alee Temple does not recommend it for children under the age of 12. 

Haunted Forest at the Moose Lodge

  • Where: Moose Lodge – 2202 Norwood Ave., Savannah, GA 31406
  • When: Every Fri & Sat in October
  • Admission: $20 – $40
  • Moose Lodge members begin planning and constructing their annual Haunted Forest six months out. With jarring lights and jump scares at every turn, this haunted experience is not for little ones.
