Wilmington Island is home to an abundance of family-friendly communities like Wilmington Park, Palmetto Cove, Old Towne, and Betz Creek that are situated in safe neighborhoods with wonderful private and public educational institutions, pre-k through high school. Tybee Island is an independent city and can be found in Nearby Communities.
Walk on the wild side and discover Oatland Island Wildlife Center. Families of all ages can learn about the 150 animals that inhabit the island in natural habitats. We love wandering through maritime forests along trails that showcase wildlife exhibits like wolves, bison, cougars, alligators, birds of prey, bobcats, deer and more.
