Activity Overview
Our city offers abundant and diverse kayaking and paddle boarding experiences. We ride waves at Tybee Island, and for a more calming escape, paddle on the back rivers and inlets stretching from Hilton Head to Richmond Hill. When we really want to switch things up, the rivers and creeks west of the city offer a unique change of scenery. Swap breezy palm trees and marsh grass for kayaking amongst the beautiful cypress and Tupelo trees of the historic Ebeneezer Creek, which is located only 20 miles northwest of Savannah in Rincon, Georgia. This is the perfect activity for those of us who love exploring and being on the water all year. With the area’s mild temperatures, rental and tour companies are open year-round. Avid paddlers who opt to go out alone can enter the waters using one of the many public access points available throughout the coastal region. Paddling is the best way to take in the region’s coastal magnificence!
