Activity Overview
When the weather gets warmer, a trip to one of the many area pools offers a great way to beat the summer heat and to make new friends. The City of Savannah has a number of community pools open to the public from late May through the end of July. Most neighborhoods have a nearby private pool with membership options ranging from affordable to luxurious.
The indoor Chatham County Aquatic Center is a popular spot for those who like to swim year-round. The center is home to both a 50-meter lap pool and a 25-yard recreational pool. Swimmers can partake in aerobic classes, swim lessons, or one of the adult and youth swim team programs. Locals can pay daily, annually, or even pay for a punch card with a set number of swims. New swimmers and future Olympians alike gather here year-round to play and practice. Scroll to learn more about local pools in Savannah and surrounding areas.
